1. Order

Place your order on our website. Your saliva collection kit typically arrives within 2 to 5 days including all the relevant forms which should be completed and submitted along with your saliva sample.

2. Saliva

Provide the saliva sample in the tube provided. Register the collection tube using the barcode so we know it belongs to you. A leaflet with full instructions will be included in the kit.

3. Post

Post your sample back to our lab in the pre-paid package along with the signed and completed forms contained in your kit.

4. Discover

We will send you an email to let you know when your reports are ready. You will then have the opportunity to discuss your results with your consultant geneticist. Start discovering what your DNA says about you!

Possible results following your cancer genetics testing

1. No mutation detected

No mutation is found. Remember that the package of your choice will only test for the genes included in it. For more comprehensive screening, please choose the most advanced packages which check the most genes.

2. Genetic variation uncovered

A genetic variation is found, but whether or not this is a definite cause of cancer is unknown. Screening will be recommended based on your medical history and family history.

3. Mutation is found

A mutation is found in a gene known to increase the risk of cancer. Increased screening and risk reducing techniques will be recommended based on your family history.
